The Gambling Control Act (Business and Professions Code section 19800 et seq.) created a comprehensive scheme for statewide regulation of legal gambling under a bifurcated system of administration involving the Division of Gambling Control within the Attorney General's Office and the five-member California Gambling Control Commission appointed. Gambling managers are encouraged to use the Gambling Control Board’s “Checklist for Lawful Gambling Restart” as a to-do list for restarting lawful gambling activity at their sites. Special Note: As of January 1, 2021, IGCCB assumes full responsibility for all its certification administration as NCPG’s contract to administer the ICGC process ends. For over 20 years, NCPG has been a supporter, advisor and contracted administrator for IGCCB. That included supporting IGCCB in gaining official IRS not-for-profit status and helping build its capacity through board meetings and other nonprofit business functions.
